2001 Anthology
"The 2001 Anthology has aged gracefully for the past 10 years and is now presenting a supple structure like that of a fine Bordeaux. Aromas of dried cherries, sweet vanilla and nutmeg are followed by flavors of plums, allspice and warm berry pie. This wine should be enjoyed now or cellar for an additional 3 years." – Mike McGrath, Winemaker
MORE ABOUT THIS WINE
- Price: $60
- Blend: 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petite Verdot, 4% Malbec
- Vineyards: A dry winter led to an early bud-break, and a warm rain-free spring. Warm temperatures in mid-August hastened ripening temporarily. An unusually cool September and early October slowed maturation, allowing the Bordeaux varietals to ripen steadily and slowly. As a result, the 2007 vintage wines show balanced ripeness, natural acidity and mature, developed tannins.
- ALC: 14.5% TA: 0.65g/100 ml pH: 3.59
