2009 Cabernet Sauvignon
"Classic Cabernet notes of cassis and ripe Bing cherry are followed by touches of vanilla, spice cabinet, and a hint of spring rain showers. Vibrant, yet supple, tannins frame the mixed berry flavors while accents of glazed walnuts and fresh tilled loam complement the long finish."

- VINEYARDS: Four vineyards contribute 75% of the fruit for this wine. Collins Holystone Vineyard in the St. Helena AVA, owned by Conn Creek Winery founders Bill and Kathleen Collins, is the largest component at 31%. The vineyard enjoys a warm climate and good drainage leading to consistent early season maturity. The well-known Stagecoach Vineyard in the Atlas Peak appellation in the Vaca Mountains added 18% with Surber Vineyard from Calistoga and Tall Trees from Yountville adding 13% and 12% of the blend respectively. The remaining 25% comes from the Spring Mountain, Rutherford, Carneros, Chiles Valley, Oakville and Oak Knoll AVAs.
