Expressive nose of blackberry jam, cocoa powder, and baking spice. The mouthfeel continues with black cherry compote along with broad, plush tannins that are medium in weight that lead to a soft and lasting finish.
19 months of barrel aging took place in 100% new French oak.
A combination of gentle pump-overs and delestage at critical intervals balanced extraction of ripe tannins and preservation of fresh fruit flavors. Pressed at dryness with malolactic fermentation completed in barrels.
