With dark and inky notes, this is a highly perfumed wine with baking spice, black pepper, black cherry and boysenberry notes. The mid-palate is heavy and dense with dark fruits and big tannins that broaden into a velvety finish.
95% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot
The wine was barrel aged for 19 months in 75% new French Oak.
Clusters were de-stemmed and optically sorted. 65% of the fruit was fermented with whole berries directly in barrels with the balance fermented in tank until dryness. Wines were then pressed off gently and sent to barrels for aging. Malolactic fermentation was completed in barrels.
