2018 Cabernet Sauvignon, Stags Leap District
This wine exudes lots of cocoa powder, violet and sweet tobacco. The midpalate has soft, broad and elegant tannins with ripe plum flavors and a lasting finish.
The wine was aged for 19 months in 60% new French oak barrels.
Hand-harvested fruit was gently destemmed and 100% optically sorted. Pressed at dryness, malolactic fermentation was completed in barrels. 86% of this wine was whole berry barrel fermented with the balance in tank.
